What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist researchers by checking materials in and out and retrieving closed stack items
- Support archival collections as an Archives Assistant
- Process new acquisitions and assist with stacks management as a Manuscripts Assistant
- Maintain order in library stacks by shelving and shifting library materials
- Adapt to various departmental tasks as vacancies arise over the summer

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must have work-study funding for summer 2025
- Attention to detail is essential
- Punctuality and willingness to interact with visitors and callers are required
- Prior library or archives work experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform tasks requiring physical agility

- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with the public
- Familiarity with library circulation systems or archival processing
