Provide moderately complex operational support on current processes and supports business operations and management in identifying opportunities and solutions to meet current and future business needs.
Validate information for moderately complex and interfaces with other departments to include presentations of documented findings, alternatives and recommended actions.
Participate in the planning, research, analysis, development, and implementation of new and modifications to existing applications and processes to provide new or improved capabilities, products, and/or services.
Develop and maintain a understanding of overall moderately complex business functions.
Gather information for moderately complex processes, analyzes data and trends, identifies root causes, and develops work products.
Review, validate, and/or analyze reports that function as a control to existing processes.
Assist with the documentation of new and revised departmental procedures.
Develop and analyze additional ad-hoc reports as needed by Management.
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Bachelor's degree: OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
4 years of experience in end-to-end analysis and/or operations experience, including: requirement gathering and documentation, operational planning and forecasting, data analytics, or current/future state analysis, in direct support of business planning initiatives and optimization of business operations.
Proficient knowledge of a wide variety of systems coordination, process/product review initiatives and the development of management information requirements for related business functions.
Knowledge of business operations and systems/business requirements processes.
Knowledge of business analysis tools for ex: MS Visio MS Excel, Tableau, SQL.
Current participant in Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship Program Cohort 24-2.
Demonstrated experience in presenting analysis/findings in a manner that conveys understanding, influences various levels of management, garners support for recommendations, and influences business strategy.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, using sound judgment.
Ability to effectively communicate insights and solutions to broad audiences.
Experience in data analysis/extraction, statistics, data management, analytics and/or data reporting.
Experienced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Business Support Analyst (Mid-Level) to participate in Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) Fellowship Cohort 24-2 with USAA. The HOH Fellowship Program builds an extraordinary experience for transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses that increase competitiveness and improve opportunities to find meaningful employment by providing development, skills, and exposure to corporate working environment and private sector business operations. HOH Fellowship Programs are best-in-class workforce development programs that are cohort based and twelve weeks in duration.
As a participant in the Military Fellowship Program, we understand that in most cases Fellows are ending their active service commitments and actively relocating. Therefore, while participating in the Fellowship program, Fellows are authorized to work remotely. If selected for full time employment, we offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position will be based in the San Antonio, TX office.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
In this position you will support the business by analyzing and evaluating relevant moderately complex business data, information, metrics and processes to identify opportunities and solutions to business plan development and optimization of business operations. You will be responsible for supporting key functions and providing recommendations to achieve current and future business strategy needs/objectives.

Hiring Our Heroes Fellows are paid by the HOH program.
If selected for a full-time role, USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The hiring range for this position is: $74,210 - $141,830.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.Applications for this position are accepted on an ongoing basis, this posting will remain open until the position is filled.
