- Lead the transformation of the hospital to thrive under pay-for-performance and quality-based care models.
- Strengthen relationships with medical group providers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-focused care.
- Analyze and implement expansion plans, fostering a unified culture aligned with system-wide strategic goals.
- Identify and pursue regional growth opportunities and clinical integration strategies.
- Oversee onboarding and support of new clinical partners, ensuring strong physician performance.
- Establish systems to track performance metrics and outcomes, using data to drive improvements.
- Collaborate with system leadership to refine and execute strategic plans for the hospital and broader region.
- Promote alignment of clinical and business objectives across the care continuum.
- Evaluate and enhance operational policies and processes to support clinical excellence and integration.
- Monitor and improve clinical outcomes, patient experience, and access to care.
- Lead quality and safety initiatives, reducing variation in care and standardizing best practices.
- Foster a culture of engagement, professional satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
- Support the development of physician network models that strengthen hospital and community relationships.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or Public Administration is required.
- Membership in a medical group or health administration society preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years in a Senior Leadership role within a medical group practice or clinic model is required, preferably within a large, complex health system.
- Proven expertise in physician practice management, ambulatory care operations, and integrated healthcare delivery.
- Strong background in healthcare operations, financial oversight, strategic planning, and human resources.
- Demonstrated success leading in competitive markets and navigating value-based care models.
- Experience with EMR implementation, regulatory compliance, and physician compensation design.
- Track record of improving clinical quality, reducing costs, and driving performance through data and best practices.
Position SummaryThe President of Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital will serve as a visionary and strategic leader, responsible for transforming the hospital into a high-performing, patient-centered organization aligned with value-based care models. This executive will oversee hospital operations and drive performance improvement initiatives that enhance quality, patient satisfaction, and access to care, while fostering a collaborative and attractive environment for providers.
Reporting to the East Florida Region President and serving as a key member of the East Florida Region Senior Leadership Team, the President will work in a matrixed environment, collaborating closely with hospital presidents across the Orlando Health system. The role requires a dynamic leader who can align clinical and business objectives, integrate new practices, and ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery across the continuum.
About Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital
Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital is a comprehensive 178-bed acute-care facility located in Sebastian, Florida. A major hospital expansion in 2020 added 48 private patient rooms and enhanced surgical capabilities with additional operating suites and procedure rooms, new preoperative and postoperative patient bays, and the latest advanced surgical technology. A full-service ER treats minor to major conditions, including heart attack and stroke, and the hospital has earned Advanced Primary Stroke Center accreditation from The Joint Commission. The hospital also is accredited as a Bariatric Surgery Comprehensive Center by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP®), dedicated to enhancing safe and quality care for bariatric patients.
