What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Safely drive a transit bus on campus and city streets along fixed scheduled routes
- Perform pre-operational safety maintenance checks on the bus
- Accumulate and record statistics for daily reports on fixed route service
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance and foster collegial working relationships
- Complete other duties as assigned by the employer
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must pass DOT physical examination and obtain a DOT medical examiner's certificate
- Formal education equivalent to a high school diploma
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CDL Class B or higher with Passenger Endorsement
- Experience operating a large transit vehicle on city streets in fixed route service
- Knowledge of DOT/CDL regulations
- Excellent customer service skills
