      Job Description
      The Medicaid Housing-Related Services and Supports Coordinator will assist members who are part of the State's Targeted Adult Medicaid expansion group by reviewing and authorizing a set of newly available services intended to support finding and retaining affordable housing.
      This position will be expected to maintain and develop relationships with entities serving homeless populations, municipalities, counties, and others to identify community-based settings available to recipients, and to assist in care coordination.

      The selected candidate would be responsible for policy development/management; review and authorization of proposed service plans; and engaging in quality assurance activities to ensure the services being delivered are in accordance with the State's policies.
      Note: as of April 8, 2024, DHHS employees will be working a hybrid schedule, which includes 2 office days per week and 3 telework days.

      Responsibilities

      • Plans and manages projects and/or programs. Writes (or discusses) project/program plan(s), recommendation(s), and/or finding(s).
      • Plans and allocates resources to ensure agency policies and state statutes are fully implemented.
      • Develops and coordinates plans and policies, resources, and mission as well as goals, vision, and expectations of agency or program; prepares and updates plans and priorities.
      • Coordinates and assigns projects; provides assistance in resolving problems; approves system changes and establishes project priorities.
      • Sets goals, establishes priorities, manages resources, develops concepts and approaches, reviews project progress and results; makes management decisions.
      • Provides consultation, makes recommendations, gives appropriate advice, and/or facilitates decisions.
      • Represents the agency with federal, state, and local government units in the media or with private organizations.
      • Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines, etc.
      • Develops and implements procedures in response to agency policy, state, and federal laws, etc.
      • Monitors agency or program budget including revenues, expenditures, and budget projection, etc.

      • Effective July 1, 2021, State of Utah Employees must either reside in Utah or be in the process of relocating to Utah within 30 days of their start date.
      • This position may currently be a hybrid of both in-office and remote work days. Please note, a position's eligibility for remote work is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion, at any time, and for any reason.
      • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
      • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
