      Job Summary

      Serve as the primary human resources partner for leaders within an assigned region or Theatre Support Center, aligning people strategies with business objectives and operational needs. Proactively identify and address people-related challenges across the associate lifecycle while ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance. Strengthen leadership capability and drive effective use of tools and processes to support consistent, equitable people practices. Support strong talent outcomes and build a workforce prepared to meet current and future business needs.


      This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.

      What you will be doing:

      • Serve as the primary human resources partner for leaders, aligning people strategies with business objectives and operational needs.
      • Analyze workforce data and trends using people systems to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities.
      • Use insights to inform decisions, make recommendations, and surface or escalate needs for targeted actions, while evaluating impact on business outcomes.
      • Promote consistent, equitable, and behavior-based evaluation of performance and potential to strengthen talent assessment and development outcomes.
      • Oversee performance engagement processes to ensure alignment, consistency, and meaningful outcomes.
      • Partner with leaders on hiring, turnover management, and organizational changes by providing guidance, best practices, and data-driven insights.
      • Identify development needs and skill gaps through data and observation and support leaders in translating insights into actionable priorities.
      • Partner with leaders to strengthen bench readiness and reinforce ongoing development efforts.
      • Equip and coach leaders to effectively manage performance, workplace concerns, and employee relations matters.
      • Guide leaders through complex or sensitive situations, reinforcing accountability and sound decision-making.
      • Drive adoption of people systems by translating tools into clear expectations and practical application.
      • Lead complex, high-risk, or escalated employment relations matters, including investigations and policy violations.
      • Review and advise on corrective employment actions in high-risk situations, including termination, providing guidance and risk assessment.
      • Partner with Legal and Operations to respond to audits, claims, and regulatory inquiries.
      • Mitigate risk through sound judgment, documentation, and adherence to employment laws.
      • Lead and support cross-functional initiatives that drive business and people outcomes.
      • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support implementation and continuous improvement of people systems and processes.

      What we need from you:

      • 3+ years of experience directly managing one or more Human Resource functions as a primary role or 3+ years of AMC General Manager experience.
      • 2+ years of supervisory experience with responsibility for performance engagement of direct reports.
      • Experience applying multiple human resource disciplines in a business environment, including talent acquisition, performance engagement, employment relations, and associate development.
      • Ability to influence decision making and build alignment across leaders and stakeholders.
      • Exceptional relationship management and ability to communicate with impact while displaying empathy.
      • Demonstrated managerial courage and proven ability to execute difficult conversations.
      • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
      • Ability to maintain discretion handling sensitive and confidential information.
      • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
      • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, provide guidance, and deliver results through others.
      • Practical investigative skills and the ability to assess risk and resolve workplace concerns using sound judgment and discretion.
      • Proven ability to navigate through ambiguity and drive results in situations with limited information or unclear directives, coupled with an openness to change.
      • ·Ability to analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and strategy development.

      What we also value (preferred):

      • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
      • Professional certification in human resources.
      • Experience using data and analytics to identify trends, inform decisions, and measure impact, including proficiency in tools such as Excel or similar platforms.
      • Advanced knowledge of employment laws and compliance practices.
      • Experience in change management and leading organizational transformations.
      • Experience managing projects or leading human resource initiatives that drive business or talent outcomes.
