      The HR Consulting Generalist performs general Human Resources related duties at the professional level with assigned clients and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, payroll processing, employee benefits, training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action, and employment equity programs.

      HR CONSULTING

      • Provide administrative support to the client team lead by compiling monthly/quarterly status updates

      • Support the client lead with administrative assignments as necessary

      • Document time entries in internal time keeping system, reflecting quality and value to the client

      • Partner with the client’s employees and management team to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations

      • Provide administrative assistance for assigned clients with activities such as personnel paperwork, processing/filing, administrative upkeep of the applicant tracking system, creating, and distributing employment life cycle letters to include offer letter, reference checks, and verification of employment

      • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to make recommendations for the management team to implement corrective action and continuous improvement

      • Respond to general employee relations issues from clients such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints; Escalates calls/complaints with the Senior Consultant assigned to the client

      • May gather supporting documentation and/or represents the client for any unemployment claims

      • Facilitate and/or provide training to clients; May develop training modules/PowerPoints to achieve training goals of the client

      • Review applications and interview applicants to match experience with specific job-related requirements

      • Conduct new hire orientation at the client

      • Perform other duties as assigned

      EXECUTION OF CLIENT SERVICE

      • Support team leads, management, and other internal department members to flawlessly execute MMA’s service strategy for each client, designed to create measurable value and efficiencies in their businesses

      • Process plan changes, as needed or requested by the client, checking for consistency and documenting in the appropriate system

      • Build personalized client relationships through demonstrated understanding of the service plan and multiple channels of communication such as phone, email, and in-person meetings

      • Work with internal departments to ensure cohesiveness and timeliness of service execution

      DATA AND PROCESS INTEGRITY

      • Accurate and timely completion of projects and/or reports; adhere to appropriate response times for client and internal communications

      • Enter time daily and meets billable hour goals

      • Maintenance of client and company information in a confidential manner

      • Consistently follow service workflows and appropriately engages internal resources to ensure efficiency and accuracy of execution

      • Accurately maintain complete client files including the clear documentation of account detail in agency management systems including policy information, activities, attachments, and correspondence

      • Achieve desired levels of data completeness and process integrity by consistently meeting activity timelines, quality metrics and goals

      PEER RELATIONSHIPS

      • Provide feedback and shares information at team meetings

      • Participate in ongoing scheduled meetings with team to discuss accounts, renewals, service needs, service platform, etc.

      • Develop successful and effective working relationships with all service team members, managers, vendors, and members of other departments

      REQUIRED:

      • 1-2 years’ experience in Human Resources

      • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field

      • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues

      • Strong analytical skills

      • Some travel, associated with trade shows, conventions, and client visits – 10%

      PREFERRED:

      • Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations
