      We are seeking an experienced and Strategic Director of HR Operations to lead our HR Verification function in today’s ever-changing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Oracle’s Verification program – to include background and employment verifications, US Government verifications, onsite healthcare requirements, I-9 verifications, US unemployment claims as well as verification support. They will be ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and providing strategic guidance to the HR team. The Director of HR Operations will play a critical role in protecting the organization's assets, reputation, and employees by ensuring that all new hires and existing employees adhere to our verification process.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of HR professionals responsible for verifications, including recruitment, training, development, and performance management. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the team, and ensure that team members have the necessary skills and resources to perform their jobs effectively. Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members to help them achieve their goals and objectives, and conduct regular performance evaluations to assess progress and provide feedback.
      • Verification & Compliance Program Development and Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a strategic verification program that meets the organization's changing needs and complies with all relevant laws and regulations. Conduct regular audits to ensure the program's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
      • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission guidelines. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with verifications, such as data breaches or non-compliance.
      • Strategic Guidance and Support: Provide strategic guidance and support to the HR team on verification-related matters, including policy development, procedure implementation, and training. Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiters to ensure that verifications are integrated into the hiring process.
      • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with verification vendors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution. Ensure that vendors comply with all relevant laws and regulations and meet the organization's service level agreements.
      • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze verification data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Provide regular reports to senior management and the HR team on verification metrics, including turnaround times, completion rates, and adverse action rates.
      • Policy Development and Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and update policies and procedures related to verifications, including adverse action procedures and record-keeping requirements. Ensure that policies and procedures are communicated to all relevant stakeholders, including hiring managers, recruiters, and employees.
      • Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs for HR staff, hiring managers, and recruiters on background verification policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure that all stakeholders understand the importance of background verifications and their role in the process.

      US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

      Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
      Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

      Responsibilities

      • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
      • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
      • This is a hybrid role and will need to report to the Rocklin, CA office.
