      As an APS 6 HR Helpdesk Supervisor, you'll lead a team that are the first friendly voices our colleagues hear when they reach out with HR questions. Whether it's helping them understand their leave, answering questions about pay, or just being there to offer support, you'll be leading a team that is making a real difference.

      Our ideal candidate

      • You'll be responsible for managing the Support Connect team, managing and answering queries raised to Support Connect daily, aiming for outstanding service
      • Responsibilities encompass fostering the growth of other personnel, refining procedures, resolving issues, creating an extensive knowledge repository, encouraging collaboration, and furthering the strategic objectives of the People Division
      • You'll lead a team of 13 help desk staff.

      Duties and responsibilities

      • Leads resolution of a range of complex HR enquiries, escalating where required
      • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders on a range of HR matters
      • Manage and maintain accurate data and records in HR systems
      • Demonstrate continuous improvement in complex HR matters
      • Lead a Human Resources team.

      Additional information

      • Managerial experience and Human Resource qualification/experience are desirable.

      Eligibility

      To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

      The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:

      • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
      • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.

      In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
