      Department Overview:

      The Human Resources department supports the people, systems, and processes that keep operations running smoothly and consistently. This department is responsible for building strong teams, maintaining clear expectations, and ensuring that every employee is properly hired, trained, and supported from day one.

      At The Rigby, HR focuses on efficient recruiting, organized onboarding, and ongoing training to reduce owner involvement in day-to-day people management. The goal is to create repeatable, documented systems so staffing, compliance, and training continue seamlessly as the business grows.

      As these systems mature, the HR department is designed to be portable. The same recruiting, onboarding, training, and documentation frameworks can be applied to Internera, allowing HR support to scale beyond a single business and serve multiple companies under a shared operational structure.

      Qualifications:

      Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology, Communications, or a related field

      Strong written and verbal communication skills

      Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail

      Comfortable conducting interviews and speaking with candidates and staff

      Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

      Professional, reliable, and able to handle confidential information appropriately

      Basic proficiency with Google Workspace and scheduling tools

      Willingness to learn HR systems, processes, and compliance requirements

      Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while following established procedures

      Interest in people operations, recruiting, and building scalable systems

      Preferred but not required:

      Prior experience in recruiting, HR, or administrative support

      Familiarity with onboarding systems, training platforms, or HR software

      Experience working in hospitality, small business, or startup environments

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      Knowledge

      Basic understanding of human resources and recruiting processes

      Familiarity with job postings, candidate screening, and interview workflows

      Awareness of onboarding and employee training requirements

      General understanding of workplace professionalism and confidentiality

      Basic knowledge of organizational structure and team operations

      Scheduling and coordination across multiple calendars

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      The HR Intern supports day-to-day human resources operations with a primary focus on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training coordination. This role manages job postings, schedules and conducts interviews, assists with hiring decisions, and ensures new and existing employees complete required onboarding and training materials.

      The position is designed to reduce leadership involvement in routine HR tasks by maintaining organized, repeatable systems. As these systems become standardized, the role may expand beyond The Rigby to support Internera, applying the same HR processes across multiple businesses. The HR Intern plays a key role in building reliable teams, maintaining consistency, and supporting scalable growth.

      Physical Demands:

      Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer

      Ability to use a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment for prolonged periods

      Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and via video conferencing

      Occasional walking throughout the workplace to support onboarding or interviews

      Ability to lift and carry light materials such as paperwork, training materials, or a laptop (up to 10 lbs)
