- Performs day-to-day maintenance of the Authority’s HRIS application.
- Reviews HR source documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Enters and updates employee information into the HRIS application from various source documents.
- Verifies data integrity and monitors data accuracy.
- Acts as system and process administrator for HR system upgrades and enhancements.
- Observes system enhancements and/or upgrades and new system implementations to verify data and ensure a smooth transition.
- Participates in user acceptance and upgrade testing by creating tests scripts, test cases, and verifying results by running various reports.
- Works with IT to coordinate all system upgrades and rollouts. Plans and participates in user testing and parallel run activities.
- Serves as help desk for HRIS related requests.
- Answers help desk calls to address various issues. Troubleshoots system and data related issues.
- Escalates complex requests to IT and/or management for resolution.
- Provides training and user help for applicants and internal employees in the operation of HRIS recruitment and self-service applications and systems.
- Provides end-user support for Oracle on-line employee and manager self-service and staffing/recruiting applications and processes.
- Produces and develops ad hoc HR reports upon request utilizing a variety of reporting tools and languages including: Noetix, Access, Excel, etc.
- Identifies areas for improvement in both processes and systems that drive innovation and process improvement to support long term HR business goals and process improvement.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Maintaining accurate information within Authority systems and databases.
- Providing technical support and assistance in technology system upgrades and implementations.
- Keeping abreast of enhancements to current applications and new trends and software.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field, plus one (1) year of experience performing data verification and/or data analysis with HR or Payroll systems and Self Service applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with Oracle HRMS preferred.
- Requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time and constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Service Area Requirement: Exempt (Non-Union) employees must live within the boundaries of the CTA Statutory Service Area either at the time of employment or within 6 months of beginning employment at CTA.
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of business user applications.
- Working knowledge of the capabilities and formats of HRIS systems.
- Working knowledge of principles and practices in data entry and system controls.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point), VISIO, and MS Project.
- Working knowledge of Trapeze Operations Planning Systems (TOPS) preferred.
- Working knowledge of query/reporting tools: SQL, TOAD and Oracle BI Reports.
- Working knowledge of Taleo Applicant Tracking System is a plus
- General knowledge of general reporting methods and procedures.
- General knowledge of human resources principles and processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Under general supervision, maintains, monitors, and updates Authority human resources database applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Performs data analysis and tests to ensure data integrity and assists in implementations of new software implementations and/or enhancements.

Final salary will be determined in part by the qualifications of the selected candidate and may be higher or lower than target.
