We are hiring immediately a Health Safety & Environmen tal (HSE) Specialist in Brampton, ON or Edmonton, AB - a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a strong safety culture.

      What you will do:

      • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a strong safety culture

      • Act proactively and with attention to detail to influence safe behaviors on-site and improve safety systems continuously

      • Collaborate closely with site leaders, Service Centre Managers, and operational teams to support safety performance at project and operational sites

      • Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation

      • Guide supervisors and teams in applying safe work practices and risk mitigation strategies

      • Lead or support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation

      • Maintain current Canadian safety documentation such as hazard assessments, safe work procedures (SWPs), and training records

      • Deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks to raise awareness and foster a positive safety culture

      • Track and report safety performance indicators and support proactive risk management

      • Engage with provincial and federal safety regulators and promote company-wide safety initiatives and systems like COR and ISNetworld

      We are experts, which means you will have the following skills and experience:

      • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field

      • Preferred certifications: NCSO and CRST or CRSP designation or actively working toward them; required certifications include First Aid and WHMIS

      • Minimum 7 years of experience in health and safety roles, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or industrial environments

      • Strong knowledge of Canadian OH&S legislation and industry best practices

      • Excellent communication, training, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office ; experience with safety management platforms like COR and ISNetworld is an asset

      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with willingness to travel across Canada to various sites.
