Job Description

- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment such as air handlers, HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, air compressors, and exhaust fans.
- Record meter and gauge readings, clean filters, lubricate motors, and replace belts, filters, switches, and gauges as needed.
- Assist HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and other skilled maintenance staff in repairs, installations, and construction activities.
- Conduct basic plumbing maintenance on PVC and copper systems, including replacing valves and seals and repairing water line leaks.
- Follow safety protocols, assess work requirements, and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Basic understanding of standard tools and practices in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions related to building maintenance.
- Ability to perform semi-skilled work across various trades.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of semi-skilled experience in general maintenance.
- Preferred: Post-secondary training from an accredited vocational school in building, mechanical, or electrical trades (may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis).
