Job Description
- Req#: JPC - 10176704
- Monitor database performance, identifying problems that arise and implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
- Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered in the event of memory loss.
- Liaise with senior IT department personnel on various issues
- Liaise with external consultants/Contractors
- Project Management
- Troubleshooting problems with Business Analyst, Server admin & Network admin
- Involve in Application installation
- Adherence to documentation requirements
- Microsoft SQL Expertise. (Need to be Level 2 DBA moving towards Level 3)
- Other SQL Database Administration
- Oracle Database Experience
- Postgres Database Experience
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
