What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan and provide direct instruction for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Perform academic assessments and monitor progress for students with IEPs
- Collaborate with families and school personnel to enhance educational strategies
- Serve as a case manager and coordinate special education services
- Participate in student study team meetings and maintain required records
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Appropriate valid California special education credential
- Previous related teaching experience
- Criminal Justice Clearance and valid California driver's license
- Knowledge of teaching methods and instructional strategies for various disabilities
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in conducting IEP meetings
- Familiarity with special education codes and regulations
- Skills to motivate students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with staff and parents
