What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence, including subpoenas and legal briefs
- Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and conducting legal research
- Manage law office activities such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
- Conduct client interviews to gather information about legal matters and communicate updates
- Draft legal documents under the guidance of a lawyer
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years as a Family Law Paralegal in the state of Texas
- Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program or possess a Bachelor's degree
- Clear and effective communication skills with a positive attitude
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with legal software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Paralegal professional certification or advanced paralegal education
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on writing and grammar
- Proven experience in a law firm setting under an attorney or lawyer
