      Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers has beautiful state-of-the-art integrated Cancer and Women's Centers, with locations strategically located throughout the Valley. Each one provides a superior cancer care environment with a full spectrum of cancer related services for patients. Our multi-disciplinary team approach includes surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, women's centers, diagnostic imaging services, social service support, nutritionist, integrative services, and genetic counseling.

      Overview: We are looking for a motivated, professional, and friendly individual to be an Imaging Assistant for our Gilbert location. The Imaging Assistant will be responsible for preparing all CT/PET reports, importing them into the EMR and delivering to Physicians. Some experience is preferred but this is more of an entry-level position. This is a full-time position working a Monday - Friday schedule.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Faxes reports to referring physicians.
      • Initiates reminder calls for scheduled patients.
      • Prepares folders from test scheduling.
      • Answers phones and responds appropriately.
      • Completes billing and history forms and tasks for NOPR.
      • Transfer data to CDs.
      • Brings patients from waiting room back to uptake rooms.
      • Set ups, cleans rooms for next patient.
      • Keep track of supplies and prepares supply orders, as needed.
      • Assists co-workers in any area to provide quality patient care.
      • Prints schedules for following day.
      • Provides support coverage for all imaging department areas, when needed.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Knowledge of Medical Office operations.
      • Knowledge of medical terminology.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, and Internet

      Education and/or Experience:

      • Experience working in an imaging setting preferred.
