      Job summary

      Our Imaging Quality and Service Improvement (QSI) Lead works alongside the Clinical Imaging (CI) Team Leads and supervisors to facilitate the effective delivery of clinical governance through robust quality management within the departmental clinical governance framework.

      This role is responsible for assuring patient safety and that Imaging clinical practice is in keeping with evidence-based practice, clinical guidelines, professional recommendations, and implementation of national directives. A key aspect of this role supports patient experience and facilitates patient partnership in service evaluation and redesign.

      Main duties of the job

      This role is responsible for the clinical governance activities within the imaging department, including management of incidents, associated improvement actions, and departmental risk register.

      A new imaging and oncology centre (including two new MRI scanners, with space for a third) opened in 2023. The service also runs two Community Diagnostic Centres in Bodmin and Penzance
