      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve sales goals in the ophthalmology market
      - Collaborate with portfolio representatives to identify and optimize customer engagement opportunities
      - Establish and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers in ophthalmology
      - Communicate complex disease-state and therapeutic information effectively to clients
      - Represent the company at regional and national conferences, promoting ophthalmology initiatives

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience in ophthalmology sales
      - In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, either an associate’s degree with 7+ years of experience or 10+ years of successful pharmaceutical industry experience in ophthalmology
      - Current experience within the territory and knowledge of customer dynamics is required
      - Proven success in larger, complex territories with diverse account types
      - Valid motor vehicle operator's license and ability to travel locally up to 40%

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience selling biologics or specialty pharmaceuticals to ophthalmologists or retina specialists
      - Strong cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills within matrixed teams
      - Knowledge of market trends and the ability to anticipate changes in the ophthalmology landscape
