      Job Description

      As an Income Auditor cum Accounts Receivable, you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all financial reports to ensure proper authorization in compliance with the applicable policies and procedures, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

      • Verify all revenue transactions recorded in the hotel’s financial system.
      • Audit daily income reports from various departments (e.g., front office, food and beverage, spa).
      • Ensure all revenue is accurately posted and discrepancies are promptly investigated.
      • Reconcile cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
      • Prepare daily and monthly financial summaries and reports for management.
      • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and accounting standards.
      • Generate invoices for hotel services, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
      • Monitor and manage aging accounts receivable, following up on overdue accounts.
      • Process payments received and apply them to the appropriate accounts.
      • Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.
      • Prepare and distribute monthly statements to clients.
      • Resolve billing disputes and respond to customer inquiries.
      • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely billing and collection of payments.
      • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reports.
      • Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
      • Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
      • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures.
      • Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

      Qualifications

      Qualifications and Skills:

        • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
        • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or auditing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
        • Certifications: Professional accounting certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus but not mandatory.
        • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Opera, Micros).
        • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.

        • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
        • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
        • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

      • This role is typically office-based within the hotel, with occasional meetings with other departments.
      • Standard working hours, with some flexibility required during peak periods or for end-of-month/year closing activities
