What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct yield trials, including planning, communication, packaging, planting, note-taking, and harvest
- Evaluate and secure quality yield trial land
- Serve as an expert source of information on yield trialing processes and protocols
- Work autonomously with limited supervision
- Recruit, hire, and supervise third-party contract labor
- Lead projects and provide guidance, training, and support to team members
- Communicate regularly with trialing manager regarding project status
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in an agriculture-related discipline or relevant experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of soybean and corn crops tested in trialing
- Familiarity with seed technology industry and plant breeding methodologies
- Proficiency in MS Office and other standard office software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Understanding of plant genetics and breeding
- CDL Class A with Airbrakes or ability to acquire
