Create and optimize manufacturing automation and Industry 4.0 processes, ensuring robustness in Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
Manage a portfolio of Industry 4.0 projects, overseeing process flows and resolving issues with existing products alongside cross-functional teams.
Facilitate discussions with internal customers or suppliers and benchmark best practices across sites.
Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to support and lead discussions on Industry 4.0 topics.
Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to reduce defective material and process-stop occurrences. Implement long-term, permanent solutions.
Continuously improve current Industry 4.0 solutions while exploring new opportunities.
Partner with cross-functional teams to implement solutions for process efficiencies and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering and/or;
MS in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, or systems engineering; alternatively, 2+ years of experience with an advanced STEM degree in Engineering preferred
Minimum five years of manufacturing experience in a factory setting
Experience with Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory principles, technologies, and techniques, machine design, and process data analytics
Advanced capabilities with solutions such as ERP, MES, PLM, Quality management, warehouse management, and Industry 4.0 values
Design and develop smart manufacturing systems that integrate seamlessly with existing processes
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, production, and engineering
Working knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, ClickUp, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, and Monday
Facilitate the integration of IT and OT systems to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency
Agile Project Management experience
Previous lean and/or Six Sigma certification with demonstrated results
Experience in a high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environment
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, enabling effective information delivery throughout all levels of the organization
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at every organizational level
Demonstrated experience in developing and strengthening customer relationships
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
