      We’re looking for an experienced Information Lead to help shape how KiwiRail manages and uses its information assets. This role is central to our digital transformation — you’ll develop and deliver our information strategy, strengthen governance, and lead key initiatives to ensure we meet both operational and government compliance standards.

      You’ll work closely with IT, business teams, and external vendors to ensure information is not only well-managed but also aligned with KiwiRail’s long-term goals. This role is about turning good information into great decisions — driving value, improving productivity, and enabling smarter operations across the business.

      Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What you will bring:

      We’re keen to hear from you if you have:

      • 8+ years of experience in information management, with at least 3 in a leadership role
      • A strong background in strategy development, project leadership, and compliance
      • Practical experience with SharePoint and knowledge of other document management platforms
      • Familiarity with government agency requirements, including Archives NZ standards
      • Experience using AI tools to enhance information management practices
      • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
      • A collaborative approach and the ability to coach and mentor others

      Preferred qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field (master’s desirable)
      • Experience with project management methodologies or continuous improvement frameworks
