- Design and execute simulated phishing campaigns to test employee awareness and identify vulnerabilities in the organization’s security defenses
- Develop and implement training programs to educate and engage employees on how to identify and respond to social engineering attacks and other security focused topics
- Analyze and report on the results of training and awareness efforts, including metrics on employee behavior, campaign effectiveness, and areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends in cybersecurity risks and developer countermeasures to protect against them
- Collaborate with other security professionals to develop strategies for improving the organizations’ overall security posture through risk management and information protection activities
- Expand your knowledge and skillset in the information security risk management space
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or related field
- 5-7 years of experience developing, implementing, and overseeing information security related programs, with 1 – 3 years of experience with information security training & awareness
- Strong knowledge of social engineering tactics and techniques
- Familiarity with tools and platforms used for conducting attack simulations
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), are preferred but not required
- Possesses at least a foundational understanding of IT concepts and principles
- Possesses at least a foundational understanding of information security risk management concepts and principles

As an Information Security Analyst (Security Awareness and Training), you will be a part of a team that helps protect the systems and information that run the bulk electric grid for 42 million people! You’ll partner with other information security professionals to improve MISO’s overall security posture, with your primary responsibility being oversight and active enhancement of our existing Information Security Training and Awareness Program.
As our Information Security Analyst (Security Awareness and Training), you’ll have a deep understanding of social engineering tactics and how to exploit vulnerabilities in the human element of security. You’ll work with others on the Information Security Risk Management Team to understand cybersecurity risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. This is a great opportunity to provide exposure, execute security awareness activities, and educate and engage employees on how to protect the organization.
