**What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):**
- Lead and manage the selection, development, installation, and modification of software systems across various County service areas
- Conduct organizational and operational analyses to improve information processes and computerization for user needs
- Install and administer database and file management software, ensuring alignment with county requirements
- Monitor and maintain operating systems and data communications software, enhancing performance and reliability
- Provide advanced technical support and lead direction to other IT staff on systems design and maintenance projects
**What is Required (Qualifications):**
- Equivalent to an Associate's degree in information technology or a closely related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development or infrastructure management
- Valid California Driver's License, Class C may be required
- Proven ability to perform advanced technical support and project management tasks
- Strong analytical skills to assess and improve data processes and systems
**How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):**
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or management information systems (may substitute for two years of experience)
- Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Familiarity with data platform management systems (e.g., Microsoft, Informatica)
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Record Systems (e.g., Avatar, NextGen, Epic)
- Experience with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS)
