      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Plan, design, customize, and maintain assigned applications and technology infrastructure components
      - Provide advanced technical support and lead direction for software development and systems administration
      - Troubleshoot and resolve system issues while implementing system improvements and upgrades
      - Collaborate with users and team members to ensure effective system functionality and user satisfaction
      - Participate in major systems projects as a team leader or project manager

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Equivalent to an Associate's degree in information technology or a closely related field
      - Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in software development or infrastructure management
      - A valid California Driver's License, Class C may be required
      - Bachelor's degree in information technology or management information systems may substitute for two years of experience
      - Additional experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for educational requirements

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with criminal justice, highly regulated, or mission-critical systems
      - Proven track record in managing application portfolios and vendor relationships
      - Familiarity with configurable enterprise applications and their customizations
      - Experience in strategic IT planning, budget development, or creating business cases for technology initiatives
      - Relevant certifications in information technology
