- Participates as a member of a team providing a full range of information technology services for DoIT
- Receives formal instruction and on-the-job training in IT concepts to gain knowledge necessary to participate in division projects and activities
- Receives formal classroom and on-the-job training required to perform application services, administration, and development with technologies including, but not limited to, Eclipse, Java SE/EE (Java, JSF, SQL), HTML5, XML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Apex, SCQL, Lightning, web services and/or integrations (SOAP/REST API and Apex Web Services).
- Participates as a member of a team providing information technology client services for DoIT related to basic troubleshooting of incidents, maintaining documentation, and coordinating resolutions on service requests in accordance with established operational standards and guidelines, taking initial customer needs via phone, email or online, collecting detailed information to understand and document needs, fulfill requests within knowledge and ability, and directing more difficult requests to higher level staff or source.
- Receives direction and on-the-job training in IT concepts to gain knowledge and skills necessary to participate in division projects and activities including additional DoIT resources for the resolution of requests/incidents.
- Engages with technicians and/or refers to appropriate vendors to provide services.
- Participates as a member of a team providing a full range of information technology services for DoIT.
- Receives formal instruction and on-the-job training in IT concepts to gain knowledge necessary to participate in division projects and activities.
- Receives on-the job training in performing systems services, administration, and in data analytics, information security, enterprise infrastructure and/or network operations.
- Learns to configure and manage systems in support of databases, storage, backup, retention, retrieval, file and print management, user and computer access and permissions, and/or other tools and systems that support the enterprise.
- Participates in training activities to learn to utilize programming methods, productivity tools and programming skills with existing and new programming languages
- Receives training in the development and maintenance of technical testing and end user documentation, system materials, and manuals
- Participates in training activities to learn to provide information, training, and problem solving to users with respect to hardware, software, and application systems.
- Receives training to perform installations, maintenance, and resolve problems related to computers and application software.
- Receives on-the-job training to maintain documentation on service requests/incidents using appropriate reporting tools.
- Learns processes and procedures to record all activities and customer communications with work logs to ensure detailed work history and resolutions are maintained.
- Participates in the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of software components in support of information technology systems and services.
- Assists in ensuring configurations comply with agency security considerations, performance requirements and established standards.
- Assists in software distribution using software installation scripts, programming scripts, procedures, and programs.
- Receives training in testing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining Enterprise operating systems, security systems, data analytics, network systems, and/or other systems supporting information technology activity
- Assists staff in the review of configurations to ensure compliance of agency security considerations, performance requirements, and established standards.

- Assists higher level staff in training sessions for developers and users
- Requires completion of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a minimum of six (6) semester hours of coursework in computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, network and telecommunications management, data analytics, or a related field;
- Requires completion of two (2) years of technical school in computer science or a related field. (The technical school must be accredited by an agency accredited by the U.S. Department of Education and clock hours must be convertible into college semester or quarter hours.)
- Requires satisfactory completion of twenty-four (24) semester hours in computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, network and telecommunications management, data analytics, or directly related field from an accredited college or university;
- Requires four (4) years of work experience in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field;
