- Responsible for understanding full scope of customer's businesses and needs; develop relationships with the customer through oral and written communication.
- Responsible for understanding TekniPlex's full range of products and capabilities.
- Understand competitors' products/services in order to position IPS's differentiated solutions.
- Maintain existing business by working with small and medium sized accounts on their requirements, solve customer complaints and issues.
- Establish new accounts by answering telephone, web page, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information into SalesForce.
- Communicate pricing and policy changes.
- Coordinating sales related activities cross-functionally within company to drive the business and manage customer complaints.
- Address customer complaints/disputes in a timely and professional manner ensuring win-win solutions while maintaining the long-term relationship.
- Review market analyses and work with marketing to target new market segments and customers.
- Deliver sales and EBITDA results growth at or above budget.
- Set financial targets including but not limited to forecasts, GM, inventory.
- Track performance and analyze sales data by customers, products, product group.
- Monitor key indicators that impact sales and profitability
- Deliver sales presentations to customers as needed.
- Communicate with production and quality teams to facilitate mutual understanding of customer needs and manufacturing capabilities.
- Provide feedback to Global Innovation Center (GIC) on detailed customer needs to drive new product development.
- Attend trade shows, and develop publications with Marketing and GIC to advance industry knowledge and customer knowledge as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Business, engineering or life sciences preferred.
- Experience: Five or more years of professional Sales and/or Customer Service experience required. Requires experience managing complex organizational structures or accounts where one supports the broader sales account management team.
- Skills :
- Excellent interpersonal communication, verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of people.
- Analyzing and independently solving a variety of difficult situations and problems.
- Ability and experience with pricing and forecasting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other systems such as SalesForce.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
- Operates with a high level of independence, not requiring support with every customer engagement
- Aspires to grow beyond the current role within TekniPlex
- Location/Travel:
- Ability to work independently from a home office.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (limited)
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) serves TekniPlex's Integrated Performance Solutions (IPS) business segment and its customers by providing product and service information; resolving product and service problems. The ISR will be responsible for generating revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders from new and existing accounts, understanding and interpreting technical requirements and providing technical information. The individual in this role will have/develop a detailed knowledge of TekniPlex product lines. The ISR will leverage this knowledge to differentiate TekniPlex offerings to provide value added solutions to targeted customers.
