Job Description

- Responsible for renewing, up-selling, and closing of maintenance/service/license contracts for assigned region or account. Increases renewal sales for assigned region or account(s).
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's various products and maintenance contracts.
- Educates customers on business practices and associated contractual implications.
- Ensures customer awareness and understanding of applicable product elements.
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
- Understand customer needs and requirement
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
- Maintain accuracy of Salesforce records to support Business Area sales funnels and metrics; includes customer follow up
- Salesforce Opportunity and Quote creation
- Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
- Support requests for internal Salesforce Training
- Support requests for ad hoc Salesforce Reports
- 3+ years of proven inside sales experience
- Track record of over-achieving
- Strong phone presence and experience
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
- Experience working with Viasat's Salesforce instance and supporting multiple Government Systems Business Area processes
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- In depth knowledge of navigating Viasat's Salesforce Sales Cloud instance
- Knowledge and understanding of Business Area specific process for opportunity and quote development and tracking
- Knowledge of Viasat's Commercial and Government products/services
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

What you'll do
We are looking for a candidate that can hit the ground running with minimal training, and, has in depth knowledge of Viasat Government Systems Inside Sales and Business Area Standard Operating Procedures. The candidate will be knowledgeable in Viasat Products/Services offerings and be able to confidently respond to inquiries in a timely manner. This Inside Sales rep will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

Salary range
$32.69 - $51.68 / hourly. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $40.63 - $60.82/ hourly
