      As an Inside Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant, you will be on the front lines working to build strong relationships with our Veterinary customers to help sell IDEXX’s medical device diagnostics portfolio of products. In this inside sales role, you will engage customers through knowledgeable phone interactions, business discussions and educational opportunities about what IDEXX has to offer. You will leverage your consultative selling techniques to translate customer needs into diagnostic solutions that leverage IDEXX's suite of products and services. In helping veterinary practices grow their diagnostic revenue, you will establish yourself as a valued partner.

      In the role of Inside Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant you will:

      • Build relationships with our Veterinary customers over the phone that are not covered by a Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant field sales professional.

      • Acquire new business in existing customer base and acquire new customers leading to an overall increase in the territory revenue.

      • Help build customer loyalty through the effective use of IDEXX products & services including in-house instruments, rapid assay and reference laboratory diagnostic solutions in the customer’s practice.

      • Focus on a consultative customer approach to help practices grow their diagnostic revenue with IDEXX as a high value partner.

      • Collaborate with your field sales colleagues to increase the diagnostic revenue year over year in your regions.

      What do you need to succeed?

      • To be successful in this role you will need to possess a minimum of three (3) years proven sales experience, inside sales preferred.

      • Previous experience managing a sales pipeline highly preferred. Your territory management experience has been in the veterinary/animal health industry, Human Healthcare medical device sales, dental device sales, and/or prior capital equipment sales.

      • Effectively communicate and collaborate with customers, management, and peers.

      • Be able to build strong customer and peer partnerships that allow you to gain confidence and trust from others easily.

      • Essential to success is the ability to plan and prioritize work in a dynamic environment and make quality, timely decisions.

      • It is imperative that you have effective listening skills that are utilized to discover customer needs to adapt your approach and demeanor to different situations.

      Work Environment:

      • Home office setting.

      • Extensive computer use.

      • 10% travel, field visits or tradeshow work.
