- Installs and commissions conveyor systems and electrical connections on industrial handling equipment.
- Installs, repairs, and modifies equipment in the field; provides customer training as directed.
- Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or factory locations.
- Meets weekly project installation goals within required deadlines.
- Documents all inspections, maintenance, repair work and submits paperwork in a timely basis.
- Ensures that tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Assesses product/equipment performance based on experience and support data; recommends modifications or improvements to equipment, documentation, and operating processes.
- Seeks to provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required.
- Maintains clear and concise business communication proficiency, both oral and written
- Travel, overtime, and work hours other than Monday-Friday may be required.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
- Installs, upgrades, and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
- Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
- Work well with peers from various backgrounds to build effective work relationships.
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of prior relevant experience.
- AS degree or graduate of technical school in electronics field or equivalent experience a plus
- 5+ years’ experience in field or installation service environments
- Flexible and open to a fluid schedule and working environment.
- Must pass a criminal background check, drug test, pre-employment physical, and credit check
- Must obtain and maintain an Airport ID Badge in compliance with the Airport Security Plan and TSA regulations, and the necessary public trust security clearance (eApp) and be authorized to access and handle Sensitive Security Information (SSI).
- Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation, along with the ability to travel up to 100% of the time by plane domestically and internationally and have the required Real ID and Passport (for international travel).
- Due to contractual obligations, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (green card) is required for this position.
- Must be able to work overtime and variable hours as required by business needs.
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Candidates may be located anywhere within CONUS and reside near a major airport as weekly travel is required.
- Work environment is typically considered to be off-site, wherever the customer of concern is located. Service will typically be rendered at airports. Typical travel requirement is up to 100%.
- Computer literacy; competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs
- Working knowledge of x-ray and/or CT technologies
- Network installation and configuration is a plus
- PLC experience is a plus
- Previous field electrical assembly experience
- Software integration with electric/mechanical equipment.

The Aviation Security area of Analogic is currently seeking System Installation Technician(s) for Airport Security and Computer Network Systems to work at airports around the United States and Internationally. This is an exciting position where you can use your experience installing and upgrading checkpoint and computer networked screening systems for Homeland Security. You will travel weekly to the customer site (generally an airport) and perform integration with Checkpoint Screening System, or interconnect between our own Analogic systems. You must be team oriented and flexible, and actively seek to share information and assist your peers. Expect 100% weekly travel. Most weekends are off at home but can be sent to customer site for two weeks at a time with 3-4 days off. Must be flexible, work days and nights. Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Demonstrates strong electronic repair troubleshooting methodology and maintains an expert technical level of product knowledge after training.
