What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, collect, analyze, and research institutional data according to established procedures and regulations
- Serve as a liaison and primary contact for institutional reporting, compliance, and external surveys
- Prepare and disseminate institutional statistical reports for various institutional programs and leadership
- Participate in establishing guidelines to ensure quality and reliability of information sources
- Provide analysis and consultation on administrative-related matters to support institutional decisions and policy making
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3+ years of progressive experience in a role that includes data and analysis activities
- Proficient with a relational database query tool and SQL or similar database programming languages
- Experience working with large data sets from operational data systems
- Proficient with general inferential statistical methods and knowledge of predictive modeling concepts
- Skilled in managing varied projects and priorities with exceptional attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Degree in higher education administration, public policy, education policy, or relevant applied social science fields
- Knowledge of higher education issues and experience in higher education administration
- Experience with high-stakes reporting and compliance requirements
- Proficient with statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, or STATA
- Ability to communicate complex data analysis results clearly to stakeholders
