What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts to create and manage curriculum development plans for online courses
- Develop training materials and provide professional development for faculty on best practices for online course development and teaching
- Assist with the integration of educational technologies to support pedagogical goals
- Provide training to faculty on the use of the learning management system and associated technologies
- Identify opportunities to improve the learning experience for students, focusing on accessibility
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Demonstrated knowledge of learning theory and instructional design models
- Experience working with learning management systems and educational technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to establish professional relationships with stakeholders and clients
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field
- Knowledge of current instructional design theories for online education
- Proficiency in the Canvas learning management system
- Experience with basic programming related to online learning (e.g., HTML, JavaScript)
- Experience collaborating with other instructional designers in higher education
