What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts to create and manage curriculum development plans for online courses
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders through various communication methods
- Assist in developing training materials and provide professional development for faculty on online course best practices
- Provide training on the use of learning management systems and educational technologies
- Identify opportunities to enhance the learning experience, particularly in relation to accessibility
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated knowledge of learning theory and instructional design models
- Experience with learning management systems and related educational technologies
- Proven ability to establish professional relationships while providing excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in instructional design, curriculum and instruction, or a related field
- Knowledge of current instructional design theories for online education
- Proficiency in the Canvas learning management system
- Experience with basic programming related to online learning (e.g., HTML, JavaScript)
- Experience working collaboratively with other instructional designers in higher education
