- Conduct on-site evaluations at partner facilities, including active job sites.
- Perform physical inspections of equipment, tools, and work processes (e.g., climbing on machinery, analyzing procedures).
- Design and develop performance-based training programs for skilled trade professionals.
- Apply adult learning principles to create engaging, accessible learning materials.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and partner teams to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Utilize e-learning platforms and digital tools to enhance remote learning experiences.
- Adapt training for diverse learners, including ESL participants.
- Continuously evaluate and update programs based on feedback and industry trends.
- Travel to partner sites for analysis, implementation, and relationship building.
- Degree or certification in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education Technology, or related field.
- Certification as a Certified Instructional Technologist (CIT) or equivalent (preferred).
- OSHA safety awareness or certification (preferred).
- Professional experience in instructional design and skilled trades.
- Hands-on experience in skilled trades (preferred).
- Skilled trades instructor experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of skilled trade practices.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments and adhering to safety protocols.
- Ability to climb, bend, and maneuver around equipment and job site obstacles.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently.
- Proficiency in developing customized, performance-based training programs.
- Familiarity with adult learning theories and instructional design models.
- Experience with e-learning platforms and digital tools.
- Exceptional communication skills to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet for remote work.
- Must reside close to a major airport
- Position is remote with moderate travel

- Degree or Certifications in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education Technology, or a related field.
- Professional experience in instructional design, preferably within the skilled trades sector.
- Strong understanding of automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, HVAC and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in developing performance-based training programs.
- Certification as a Certified Instructional Technologist (CIT) through the Merger Consortium or equivalent.
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models.
- Experience with e-learning platforms and digital tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Creativity in problem-solving and program development.
- Incredibly detail oriented, highly analytical and solution focused. Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage and build immediate rapport with colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy.
