What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage accounts receivable for Ambulatory Surgical Centers, ensuring timely follow-up on denials
- Write and initiate appeals, and follow up on the status of appeals with insurance carriers
- Interact with insurance representatives to resolve issues and improve collection efforts
- Maintain knowledge of managed care contracts, fee schedules, and allowables
- Solve problems associated with the insurance collection process effectively
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma
- Demonstrated experience in medical billing, insurance guidelines, and the appeals process
- Healthcare Insurance Collecting experience
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Must have a minimum internet download speed of 40 Mbps to effectively run SIS Systems
