What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Timely and accurate billing of assigned accounts using computerized patient accounting systems
- Review bills for accuracy and audit claims for discrepancies
- Submit bills to payers electronically and follow up on unbilled claims
- Communicate effectively with insurance representatives and internal teams to resolve billing issues
- Maintain productivity and quality standards while adhering to billing regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one year of experience in billing or follow-up activities
- Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work with high volume edits
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in customer service or related field
- Familiarity with billing or follow-up processes in healthcare settings
- Knowledge of Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations
