What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Timely submission and billing of medical claims to appropriate insurance companies
- Analyze insurance payments and resolve any denials
- Collaborate with patients, family members, and healthcare providers to share resources
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to billing and claims
- Support the Revenue Cycle team in achieving departmental goals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in medical billing, patient financial services, or related Revenue Cycle functions
- Professional communication skills for interactions with insurance companies and coworkers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and general computer use
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to resolve complex accounts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in charge coding and registration processes
- Familiarity with healthcare insurance policies and procedures
- Strong analytical skills for financial data interpretation
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
