What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage claims inventory to reduce outstanding accounts receivable
- Communicate professionally with patients and insurance companies regarding outstanding balances
- Gather necessary information from various sources to facilitate patient registration and billing processes
- Provide excellent customer service and timely responses to inquiries related to benefits, billing, and claims
- Utilize specialized software for revenue cycle activities, including eligibility verifications and account updates
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of experience in insurance follow-up
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers is required
- Must be willing to submit to a background check
- Strong organizational and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with electronic health record systems or similar software
- Knowledge of patient billing claims processes and denial codes
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding
- Ability to analyze issues and propose solutions
- Positive attitude and demonstrated teamwork skills
