What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process eligibility and secure complete benefit coverage information from insurance companies
- Identify payment sources for accurate primary and secondary payer coverage and required authorizations
- Obtain necessary referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications from healthcare providers
- Calculate and communicate patient estimates for hospital services based on financial expectations
- Educate patients on their benefits and provide options for financial assistance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-3 years of related experience in billing, insurance, or registration
- 1-3 years of healthcare experience
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality
- Visual acuity and hearing ability to perform job duties satisfactorily
- Commitment to uphold the employer's mission, vision, and core values
