What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify eligibility and benefits for patient insurance
- Process authorizations and pre-certifications, tracking pre-authorizations and maintaining referrals
- Enter benefit and authorization information into the EPIC system
- Initiate peer-to-peer submissions and collaborate with clinical counterparts to gather necessary information
- Maintain compliance with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school graduate, GED, or equivalent formal education
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in customer service, call center, business office administration, registration, billing, insurance, or scheduling
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in computer and keyboard skills
