What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients
- Process authorizations and pre-certifications, tracking pre-authorizations and maintaining referrals
- Enter benefit and authorization information into EPIC
- Initiate peer-to-peer submissions and collaborate with clinical staff for information collection
- Ensure compliance with safety principles, laws, regulations, and organizational standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent formal education
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in customer service, call center, business office administration, registration, billing, insurance, or scheduling
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Highly motivated and self-directed with strong computer proficiency
