What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Process authorizations and pre-certifications, tracking pre-authorizations and maintaining referrals
- Enter benefit and authorization information into EPIC
- Initiate peer-to-peer submissions and collaborate with clinical counterparts for information collection
- Coordinate with the UAMS Office of Financial Clearance as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent formal education
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in customer service, call center, business office administration, registration, billing, insurance, or scheduling
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA compliance
- Highly motivated and self-directed with strong computer and keyboard skills
