What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Process authorizations and pre-certifications while tracking pre-authorizations and maintaining referrals
- Enter benefit and authorization information into the EPIC system
- Collaborate with clinical counterparts to gather requested information for peer-to-peer submissions
- Ensure compliance with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards associated with healthcare
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent formal education
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in customer service, call center, business office administration, registration, billing, insurance, or scheduling
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency in computer and keyboard skills
