What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Call insurance companies to verify benefits for patients
- Complete insurance verification forms and summary of reimbursement
- Review and correct demographic and insurance information in patient accounts
- Scan and forward completed information back to the appropriate office
- Maintain accurate patient demographics and insurance information in the system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of medical business office experience with insurance procedures
- Knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing
- Knowledge of state and federal collections guidelines
- Successful completion of required e-learning courses within 90 days of starting the position
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare-related service
- Familiarity with oncology/hematology clinic environment
