What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee the intake and triage of worker complaints related to employment standards
- Serve as a subject matter expert on intake policies, providing guidance to partners and teams
- Provide technical assistance to workers and employers regarding employment rights and complaint options
- Conduct outreach and education to the public about employment standards laws and program services
- Manage initial case activities for wage complaints and resolve non-actionable complaints
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A combined total of four years of education and/or experience
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with two years of qualifying experience, or four years of relevant experience
- Experience as a Customer Service Specialist, Industrial Relations Agent, or Program Specialist
- Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to pass verbal and written assessments
- Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and complaint investigation procedures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with labor relations, state wage and hour laws, and auditing practices
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
- Experience in reducing case management backlogs and improving service delivery
- Knowledge of Complaint Activity Tracking System (CATS) and related software tools
- Experience in creating tailored outreach content for diverse audiences
