      Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Assistant General Counsel within the Technology space.
      Overview: MLA is seeking an Interim Assistant General Counsel to manage ongoing SaaS customer-facing agreements, contracting oversight, and the reviewing, drafting, and negotiating of these agreements in support of continued growth as a global SaaS provider. This position will be highly visible and report to the Senior Vice President & Chief Legal Officer.
      A successful candidate will be a self-motivated and collaborative lawyer to partner with internal business segments and will demonstrate good judgment, provide practical advice that balances business needs, and be a strategic thinker.
      This role will require the successful candidate to have significant experience in the AI, technology, and Saas domain with specific experience in SaaS customer contracting. Further, this role with be required to provide insights and guidance on existing risk profiles to determine the best approach to entity migration. As a leader and effective communicator, a successful candidate shall demonstrate a fantastic executive presence while executing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

      Experience: 5-10 years+ of customer contracts experience in the SaaS industry
      Location: Remote

      Responsibilities Include:

      • Review, draft, and constructively negotiate commercial agreements with customers, partners, vendors, and other third parties.
      • Analyze and articulate legal risk within specific contracts, provide business insights as to modifications for specific risk profiles, offer mitigations, and facilitate pragmatic solutions to obstacles.
      • Deliver effective strategies and execute entity integrations
      • Effectively communicate complex legal issues to assist business leaders’ understanding and decision-making.
      • Provide timely and practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders, with diligence and attention to detail.
      • Contribute to the analysis and approach on a range of legal matters by supporting other members of the legal department on an as-needed basis.
      • Willingness to keep current on relevant industry standards, laws, and regulations, notably in the areas of SaaS and AI.
      • Collaborate with legal team members to improve processes and ensure business needs are met
      Qualifications Include:
      • 5-10 years of relevant legal experience at a leading law-firm or in-house experience at a technology company.
      • Strong editing, writing, and negotiating skills.
      • Experience advising clients on commercial terms for products, services, and/or licenses, including those involving SaaS and/or AI (preferred).
      • Bar admission in good standing (or registered in-house counsel status with a state bar).
      • Strong interpersonal skills and collegial attitude, a collaborative team player who enjoys working with others.
      • Flexible and adept at working with technology.
