What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist full-time staff in the loaning and borrowing of materials
- Retrieve physical materials from various locations, including the Memorial Library and the Wisconsin State Historical Society
- Scan digital requests and complete eJournal requests
- Communicate effectively with full-time staff and other student assistants
- Complete other assigned tasks as needed to support the ILL department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- No previous experience required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with libraries or the Library of Congress Classification system is an advantage
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in libraries or knowledge of library systems
- Ability to handle fluctuating workloads effectively
- Experience working independently in a structured environment
- Strong punctuality and reliability in attendance
