      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage payer rejections and claim edits in the clearinghouse and EPIC, ensuring timely filing and clean claim submissions
      - Review and correct claims that fail billing system edits to ensure accuracy
      - Document all actions on accounts in the system to maintain a clear history of account activity
      - Communicate with payers or patients for additional information required for billing
      - Participate in compliance programs and collaborate with management to improve billing processes

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in a related field OR associate's degree plus two (2) years of healthcare revenue cycle experience OR High School diploma/GED plus four (4) years of relevant experience
      - Basic accounting skills and proficiency in using calculators and systems for reimbursement calculations
      - Strong verbal and written communication skills
      - Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze patient account balances and payer contract terms
      - Must be available for a minimum on-campus schedule of one day each week following training

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Six (6) months of medical billing experience with a basic understanding of CPT and ICD 10 coding
      - Familiarity with HCPCS coding
      - Experience using EPIC software
      - Knowledge of medical billing processes and regulations
      - Ability to identify and recommend improvements in billing processes
