- Several supply chain optimization projects at the choice of the intern related to:
- Time series forecasting
- Supply network optimization
- Order plan optimization
- Recommendations on supply chain network footprint, bills of distribution optimization, forecast tuning
- Choose from a variety of supply chain optimization projects that are relevant to your skill set
- Build an in-depth understanding of the domain specific to your selected project
- Utilize and understand existing data sources from SQL databases
- Build and develop an analysis framework for outputting results
- Currently pursuing a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, operational research, or a related field
- Programming skills, SQL and python preferred
- Knowledge or experience in supply chain planning or mathematical programming
- This position will be open until filled. Applications submitted by September 25, 2023 will receive priority review. Applications accepted after that date are subject to non-review.
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2024 onsite at the AGCO Acceleration Center in the University of Illinois’ Research Park. Students are expected to work up to 40 hours a week.
- Based on performance, this internship can continue across sevearl semesters (full time in the summer, part time during the academic school year).
Who We Are Looking For
The AGCO Acceleration Center is looking for a highly talented Data Science Analyst Intern to join our team at the Research Park at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for Spring 2024 & beyond. This role is responsible for the investigation of data science use cases to support Global parts supply chain initiatives with data driven insights. The supply chain optimization projects worked on as part of this role will deliver key insights to support the Farmer First and RONA targets of AGCO through securing best in class parts availability with optimized inventory value.
